Reusable shopping bags for groceries and fresh produce.
These shopping bags are made from recycled polyester and are an Eco-friendly, sustainable alternative to single use plastic bags.
Each Reusable Grocery Shopping Bag Set includes:
3 x small (20cm x 30cm) shopping bags
3 x medium (30cm x 35cm) shopping bags
2 x large (30cm x 43cm) shopping bags
1 carry bag with a Carabiner hook
All bags have drawstrings with clips for tightening and tags which show the tare weight of the bag, so you don’t pay more than what you put in them at the supermarket.
Our reusable shopping bags are machine washable, so if they get dirty with some beetroot stains, you can just chuck them straight into the washing machine.
The holes in mesh bags are also very close together, making these shopping bags great to bulk buy rice, pasta, brown sugar etc.
Our mesh shopping bags come in 3 different sizes, so they are ideal for almost all fresh produce. Our small bags are suitable for groceries such as cherries, grapes, cherry tomatoes etc.
Our medium shopping bags are suitable for groceries such as apples, bananas, pears, oranges, potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, and many other fresh produce.
Our large shopping bags are great for items such as celery, kale, sweet potato and cucumbers.
The grocery shopping bags also double as excellent food storage bags. Some of our customers like to use them to store veggies that would otherwise leave a mess, or bits and pieces at the bottom of the fridge (broccoli or cauliflower, maybe cabbage).

Can I store my food in the Reusable Shopping Bags?
Yes. Certain food types are perfectly fine to store in your reusable shopping bags. The holes in the mesh bags are very, very close together, so some people use them to store foods that break apart easily, such as broccoli, broccolini, and cauliflower. Other foods that don’t perish quickly, such as capsicums, avocados, oranges, apples, tomatoes, onions, potatoes etc, you can easily store in the reusable mesh bags too. If the foods do perish or wilt quickly, such as spinach, cucumber, carrots, asparagus etc., we recommend storing them in either a reusable ziplock silicone pouch, or a beeswax or plant wax food wrap to prolong their lifespan.
How can I wash the Reusable Shopping Bags?
You can easily wash your reusable shopping bags in the washing machine, or soak them in a bucket of hot soapy water with some washing powder. Do not place them in the dishwasher.
How do I ask to not pay any extra money for the weight of the bag?
Each reusable shopping bag has a little tag with the tare weight of the bag on them. This means that when you go through the check out, you can ask the shopping clerk to remove the weight of the bag, so you only ever pay for the weight of the fresh food you have put in the bag. Just ask your shopping assistant to please remove the bag’s tare weight written on the tag, as they start scanning your items.
Why Choose Reusable Shopping Bags Over Plastic Bags?
Clean Up Australia volunteers report that 8% of the plastics they remove from our streets, parks, beaches, bushland and waterways are plastic bags. Australian’s still use 5+ billion plastic bags per year, which the majority are thrown out after 1 use. Each plastic bag requires oil and greenhouse gasses to make, and then takes over 150 years to degrade into smaller pieces. Toxic chemicals are then released into the soil when the plastic bag starts to degrade.
Also plastic bags are killers once they enter our environment. Animals can ingest them mistaking the bags for food, resulting in them choking, smothering or dying of malnutrition.
My Humble Earth’s mission is to help Australian families reduce their single use plastics and household waste. We offer sustainable alternatives to help people adopt a zero waste lifestyle. Our products are either biodegradable, reusable, recyclable or made from recycled material.
All of our packaging is made from recycled Kraft paper and cardboard. We also use carbon neutral shipping to all major Australian cities.
