Cut down on 99% or more of plastic added to landfill from toothbrush disposal. Our bamboo toothbrush handles are made from natural, biodegradable wood. The bamboo toothbrush bristles are made from activated charcoal bamboo fibres and BPA free nylon. The nylon in the bristles is needed to give the bristles strength in order to properly clean your teeth.

The activated charcoal bristles have powerful toxin-clearing properties, which have proven to remove stains on your teeth from plaque, red wine and coffee.

Activated charcoal is also:

  • antiviral
  • antibacterial
  • antifungal
  • detoxifying

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth because it contains naturally occurring antimicrobial agents, there is no need for using fertilizers or pesticides during its cultivation. The bamboo we use in our toothbrush is grown organically and sustainably sourced.

How long will my bamboo toothbrush last?

Our bamboo toothbrushes are durable and the bristles last longer than ordinary plastic toothbrushes. Even so it is recommended to use a toothbrush for a maximum of 3 months to prevent the build up of bacteria in the bristles.

Why are bamboo toothbrushes better than plastic toothbrushes?

Keeping our teeth clean is important for maintaining good oral hygiene and plays a big role in preventing costly trips to the dentist. It prevents the buildup of plaque, can combined with good eating habits can help you avoid cavities. Each one of us disposes around 3 or 4 toothbrushes per year. Plastic toothbrushes take hundreds of years to decompose. Sadly plastic toothbrushes are all too often found discarded in the ocean and our natural environment. As such they make up a large part of plastic pollution.
